Terms and Conditions
The following represents the terms in which clients engage with the clinical psychology services provided by Dr Deborah Woodman.
Appointments
- All appointments are by arrangement only. This includes telephone and video appointments.
- Appointments will be confirmed by email unless too short notice and agreed with the client by telephone.
Fees
- All fees are payable in advance of the appointment. Payment, unless agreed otherwise, is by BACS payment.
- Please request an up to date fee schedule if required. Please note that complex assessments may require an individual estimate. This will be agreed with the client before assessment.
- Any difference between the estimate and actual cost of assessment must be paid within 5 working days of completion of the assessment.
- All assessment fees include a comprehensive report unless otherwise specified and agreed.
- For coaching and consultation sessions, a brief report will be prepared at the end of the session or series of appointments
- Unpaid fees will result in a late payment charge, which will be proportional to the amount owed.
Cancellations
- Cancellations and rescheduling of assessments should be communicated as soon as possible and if made less than 72 hours before the assessment date as proportion of the fee may be charged.
- On the day cancellations will be subject to a 50% fee deduction.
- Cancellations/rescheduling by Deborah Woodman will not be subject to any fee deduction.
- Repeated cancellations/rescheduling may result in assessments not being completed.
Communication
- The preferred method of communication is by email.
- A PDF copy of the reports will be sent by password protected email to parents of children and young people and directly clients over the age of 18 years. Clients over the age of 18 years may choose to have their report sent to a parent/family member or representative.
- For young people and adults over the age of 16, who are assenting to assessment, consultation, coaching etc, but do not have the capacity to consent, the parent/guardian will be sent the report
- Clients over the age of 18 years who are deemed to have capacity will be the primary recipients of all communication, regardless of who pays the fees for assessment, unless otherwise agreed with the client
- A copy of the report will routinely be sent to the client’s General Practitioner or referring doctor unless this is negotiated otherwise before assessment. Any decisions made regarding communication will be in the best interest of the child/young person/client

- Please note that separate arrangements will be made for medico-legal work, where reports are specifically commissioned either by a solicitor or by the court as per the agreed instructions.
Emergencies and management of risk
- Dr Deborah Woodman is unable to provide emergency services for new or existing clients
- Clients experiencing high levels of distress, risky behaviours or intent to harm themselves in any way are advised to contact their own local healthcare providers

- In some rare cases, Dr Deborah Woodman, may decide that a client is too high risk to continue with an appointment or an assessment and reserves the right to halt that appointment or assessment.
