Data Protection Statement

During your contact with the clinic, personal data will be collected and stored.  Data will be stored on an encrypted drive, only accessible by Deborah Woodman and administrative support.  Reports and letters will be sent in a password protected PDF format to the email address(es) provided by you as the client.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you are satisfied with the level of security of your own or any other accounts.  If you are not happy with reports and letters being sent by email, you may request a paper copy to be sent by first class post for a small additional surcharge.

Information, (e.g. notes, letters, reports and test forms), will be kept for 8 years following discharge from the clinic.  For children and young people, information will be stored for 8 years following their 18th birthday for as long as the clinic is active.  This is in line with both NHS and British Psychological Society recommendations.

You are entitled to access the information held on you and/or your child.  Please request this information in writing by emailing Deborah Woodman or by using the website contact form.  This will be subject to a small administrative fee.  If your child/young person is deemed to have competence/capacity, their consent is also required for you to access their information.  Children/young people who have capacity/competence are able to request their own information in their own right.  When children/young people are involved in requesting information, this may involve a conversation with them to ensure that they fully understand the process and potential impact.

You and/or your young person have a right under UK/EU law to withdraw consent for the storage of your information.  If you wish to withdraw consent, please do so in writing by emailing Deborah Woodman.
